Dating Scan

Between 11 and 14 weeks in pregnancy, you can book a dating scan with us. This is an ultrasound scan that aims to show how far along you are in pregnancy, as well as checking in on your baby’s development as you move into the second trimester.

One of our experienced sonographers will take time to find out how you’re doing and any questions you’re holding, before moving onto the scan which will:

  • Confirm your pregnancy is progressing as expected

  • Monitor and visualise baby’s heartbeat

  • Check if your pregnancy is single or multiple

  • Assess the health of your ovaries and pelvic area

  • Provide an estimated date by measurements

Along with the information shared during the scan, you’ll head home from the Cocoon clinic with:

  • A printed photograph to take home 

  • A link to download a digital report of your scan and images

Early pregnancy is an exciting time but we understand it can also feel unsettling for some. Your appointment won’t be rushed, there will be plenty of time to ask questions and, of course, discuss how Cocoon can support you on your journey.
